Coach / Driver
Water Ski Wakeboard Manitoba is searching for experienced and dependable instructors to teach 3 event classical waterskiing and introductory wakeboarding to participants of all ages and skill levels. Your time may be shared/spent in both the ski boat and assisting on the dock. Opportunities may exist in the planning and execution of fun tournaments for participants.
Employment Dates: July 4 – August 19, 2022
Monday to Friday (some evening and weekend hours will be required)
We will consider interest from individuals that want to work all summer or will accommodate a combination of coaches and weeks throughout the summer.
Location: Lake Shirley, Winnipeg, MB
Wages: $200/day
Room and Board will be provided as well as approved travel costs.
Instructors will be required to meet the following duties and responsibilities:
• Coaching participants of all ages and skill levels
• Provide evaluations on each participant
• Equipment maintenance: covering and uncovering boat, tracking boat hours, storage and care
of skis, boards, ropes, lifejackets, etc.
• Ensure proper cleaning/disinfecting of equipment between users
• Ensure participants are following COVID protocols if applicable
• Driving and docking boats
Requirements:
• WSWC NCCP Foundations certification or working toward certification
• Valid Boater’s License (valid as of June 1, 2022)
• Valid Driver’s License (valid as of June 1, 2022)
• Respect in Sport – Activity Leader
• Completion of Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry
• Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Experience in waterskiing/wakeboarding
• Experience instructing waterskiing/ intro wakeboarding
• Experience driving ski boats
